Jonathan Quick wins the NCAA Tournament of NHL Players

During March Madness, Puck Daddy ran its own bracket that pitted 64 NHL players who played NCAA hockey against each other. We tasked you with voted on each matchup using … well, completely inconsistent and arbitrary criteria. Basically “I like this guy more than the other guy.”

The final battle was between Jonathan Toews of the Chicago Blackhawks and North Dakota vs. Jonathan Quick of the Los Angeles Kings and UMass.

Your winner?

Well, like, it’s in the headline.

Congrats to Jonathan Quick, the winner of our NCAA Tournament of NHL Players. While Toews was the winner for voters on Puck Daddy, Quick had the overwhelming majority of votes on the Twitter side. Those darn social media savvy Kings fans!

Here was the full bracket:

As the best of all NHL NCAA alumni, Quick is eligible for an extra $100 on his campus dining hall card and can resell his text books at actual retail price. Also, we’ll give him a swig from that $10 bottle of vodka we keep stashed in the dresser in our dorm room, as long as you don’t tell the R.A.
