BiteSMS update for iOS 8 – iOS 8.1 coming in next couple of weeks

Delicious Inc., the developers of biteSMS, have said that they’ll be updating their popular jailbreak app for iOS 8 in the next couple of weeks.
The developers were reportedly waiting for the release of the Pangu jailbreak update with Cydia, which came out earlier today. reddit user RTCanada relayed a message received from a biteSMS forum moderator:
Just got an email back from one of the moderators, they wanted to wait for the official release of Pangu w/ Cydia bundled to try and update their tweak to work with iOS8. Said it might take awhile and should be released in the next couple of weeks.
The update will be free for existing users. The free version of biteSMS is ad-supported. But users can pay a one-time fee of $7.99 to remove the ads after a 7-day trial period.
biteSMS is one of the most popular alternatives for the Messages app, and probably one of the main reasons users jailbreak their iPhone. It enhances the messaging experience on the iPhone with number of features such as Quick Compose, scheduled SMS, delivery reports, signatures etc. that are not available in the native Messages app. Here’s a video demo of the app:
