Joel Quenneville brings 3-on-3 hockey to surprised seniors (Video)

“You’re never too old to pick up the game of hockey.”

Those are the words from Chicago Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville after he helped surprise residents at the Centennial Activity Center in Park Ridge, Ill. with an elaborate 3-on-3 hockey set up.

The faciity’s manager, Jennifer, had originally inquired about taking some of the seniors to a Blackhawks game, but the team brought a game to them as Quenneville, assistant coaches Mike Kitchen and Kevin Dineen, team mascot Tommy Hawk, TV play-by-play man Pat Foley, national anthem singer Jim Cornelison, organist Frank Pellico and the team’s ice crew all visited the center to deliver the big surprise.

(The video lasts 2:43 and probably sets a world record for number of times Quenneville has smiled in a single day.)

We’re just surprised that the game wasn’t outdoors considering the Blackhawks were involved.
