NCAA Tournament of NHL Players, Chelios Region: Vote now!

March Madness has arrived, and you know what that means: Every site that doesn’t cover college basketball creates their own quasi-related bracket to capitalize on the drunken fun and office pool drama of the tournament!

With that said: WELCOME TO PUCK DADDY’S NCAA TOURNAMENT OF NHL PLAYERS!

Here’s how it works: We’ve taken 64 current NHL players who also played NCAA men’s ice hockey and through the pain-staking work of our Selection Committee (i.e. at least four emails) have ranked them from 1-through-64, placing them in four regions: The Chelios Region, The Leetch Region, The Richter Region and the Brooks Region.

Our opening round begins today (Thursday); we’re going straight into Round 2 on Friday.

But we need your votes! Cast yours in each matchup below through midnight (ET). We’ll announce the winners on the Puck Daddy Facebook page throughout the tournament.

The criteria? In theory, it should be who the better player is. But we know your votes will undoubtedly be influenced by popularity, ties to your favorite team and/or alma mater and other arbitrary things like “least real teeth.” (In which case, congrats, Duncan Keith.)
