Puck Daddy’s NCAA Tournament of NHL Players had reached the Sweet 16!
Here’s how it works: We’ve taken 64 current NHL players who also played NCAA men’s ice hockey and through the pain-staking work of our Selection Committee (i.e. at least four emails) ranked them from 1-through-64, placing them in four regions.
Voting for the Chelios Region in round 2 was last week. Then we did the Leetch Region. Then it was the Richter Region's second round. And finally, the Brooks Region.
Now we're on to the Sweet 16, featuring some pretty interesting matchups.

We need your votes! Cast yours in each matchup below through midnight on Sunday (ET). We’ll announce the winners on the Puck Daddy Facebook page throughout the tournament.
The criteria? In theory, it should be who the better player is. But we know your votes will undoubtedly be influenced by popularity, ties to your favorite team and/or alma mater and other arbitrary things like "biggest ginger." In which case, congrats, Schneids.
Whatever your criteria: Vote early. Vote often. And vote … now!
Here are the Sweet 16 matchups!
Bishop is one of three goalies left in the draw, but it's going to be tough to overcome the MSU and Blackhawks fan push.

Two outstanding Team USA players battle here. Pavelski is clutch. Parise is ... rich?
--
--
Another uphill battle for a No. 5 seed, as Jonathan Toews is a tough out. But never underestimate BU fans.
"Kessel's favorite Wheeler? You guessed it, the guy who pushed the hot dog cart." - S. Simmons
--
Larkin took out Derek Stepan last round. Does he have more upset magic here?
--
Quick could be in a goalie-vs.-goalie showdown for in the final, but Kings/Quick backlash is real and it's spectacular.
--
Oh man, this one is going to be AWESOME.
--
A great Big 10 battle closes out the Sweet 16.
Vote away!
